PRD 2971 Diffuser
The PRD 2971 diffuser on the rear wall of the mastering room is breaking the incoming wavefronts and redirecting them in all directions except the directions they came from.
This makes the listening position in the front of the room free of direct reflections from the rear and the rear wall sort of seems to acoustically appear a few meters further away, effectively making the mastering room sound larger than it actually is.
